Here's yet another story about a laptop stolen from an employee's car. The story mentions:
"According to vRad, information pertaining to certain vRad patients and physicians was stored on the computer, including limited medical information for some patients and names, addresses and sensitive information such as bank account numbers, social security numbers or credit card numbers of others."
The story also mentions that the laptop wasn't encrypted either due to a technical or process error. Had it been encrypted, the data would have been protected. Instead, the company is suffering from this very public breach and is paying for Lifelock membership for those patients that are affected.
